Protecting You and Our Employees from the Corona Virus

Protecting Our Community and Ourselves

The San Mateo County Department of Health Officer, Scott Morrow, M.D. has issued a statement confirming that there is now evidence of widespread community transmission of Covid-19 in San Mateo County. He has advised that individuals, schools, businesses and all other sectors of our community take immediate steps to change behaviors and take definitive action. Dr. Morrow has advised, among other things, that all non-essential gatherings should be canceled, postponed, or done remotely. He has further requested that we all increase working remotely or teleworking to the extent possible. This is especially important for those at higher risk for developing the disease: those over the age of 60 and those with co-morbid conditions. Read Dr. Morrow’s statement here.

Our firm is doing everything in our power to follow the San Mateo County Health Directive, and to that end we are taking the following actions and precautions at this time.

Appointments, Court Appearances and Depositions to be done by Phone if possible

For the time being we will avoid setting appointments in our office. All our clients who require an appointment with one of our attorneys will be given a phone appointment. If your situation requires special consideration please call that to our attention and we will do our best to accommodate you. In an effort to follow the guidance of the San Mateo County Health Department, our attorneys and staff may to a great extent be working remotely. If you have received a letter directing you to go to Court for a conference or hearing, or to our office for a deposition, please call or email us to confirm whether your presence is required. The calendar is changing every day. We are working hard to find solutions to fully service our clients even if we are confined to our homes; but, we ask for your patience as we deal with this public health emergency.

Please don’t drop in to our office since we may only have a skeletal presence in the office. It is best to call or email us at 650-348-6741 or [email protected] to address your concerns. We WILL get back to you.

We realize there are more questions than answers right now. We will continue to closely follow the medical and public health experts as well as the State Workers Compensation authorities. Our goal is, as always, to represent our clients to the fullest extent and we will continue to do so during these uncertain times.

We will review our policies and procedures on a regular basis and will keep you notified of any important changes. In the meantime, stay healthy.
