Michael G. McKenna
Michael G. McKenna is a partner with DuRard, McKenna & Borg. Mr. McKenna joined the firm in 1983, and focuses his practice in the areas of workers' compensation and personal injury law, with a special emphasis on third party cases. He is a Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law and speaks Spanish.
A San Mateo native, Mr. McKenna received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley and his Juris Doctorate from the Golden Gate University School of Law. He earned his license to practice law in California in 1976. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced for five years with Harrigan & McKenna in Redwood City.
Mr. McKenna has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the national directory of lawyers. This is the highest possible rating an attorney can receive, indicating preeminent legal ability and the utmost ethical standards.
Mr. McKenna has always felt he owed a debt of gratitude to organized labor. His membership in the Marine Cooks and Stewards' Union allowed him to ship out in 1969 and travel to Eastern Asia on the U.S.S. President Wilson in the Merchant Marines. During law school, Mr. McKenna worked as a member of Hod Carriers Local 36. Mr. McKenna's union experience was an invaluable part of his legal education - helping him understand the needs of working men and women who have suffered industrial injuries, including the need to continue providing for themselves and their families.
